1966 Vintage Camper – Before!

Camper Unveiling: BEFORE! Well, Matt & I finally took the first step, we bought a home together.  Oh yeah, did I mention its mobile and from 1966?!  Welcome to our 1966 Pathfinder camper!  For those of you who aren’t familiar, my family is a HUGE camper family, although their RVs could be considered the Ritz Carlton of campers.  🙂  HOWEVER, Matt and I thought it would be a super fun project to buy a vintage camper (off Craigslist obviously, #Craigslistjunkie), and renovate it!  Of course practical Matt would love to sell it again for an ROI, but we are both very excited to also be able to use it on some wonderful camping adventures in the future!

Our Goal: To remodel the 1966 Pathfinder camper to maintain its vintage appeal, while updating it with a clean and modern look.  Oh, and in a cost efficient manner 🙂

I have just purchased a 1969 Pathfinder with the same goal of renovating. Information on Pathfinders and Jennison seem to be scarce.

    Hoping we can compare notes.

Hi Ken! That is exactly what we paid for ours off Craigslist, $500. We think it was a great deal! (Of course, it needed lots of work, but we were up for the challenge. Yes, please send pics if you get it!

Question: Do you know how much your pathfinder weighs? We have a Jeep Liberty and I wonder if that could handle pulling this trailer?

I believe the camper itself weight between 3,000-3,500 lbs, but the tongue weight is also pretty heavy. We pull ours with a Nissan Pathfinder (yes, ironic) and it WILL pull it, but feels like it’s maxing out our tow capacity. Hope this helps! 🙂

Can you tell me where the vin# is located on these trailers? I’m having trouble finding it.

Unfortunately I never found the VIN # on ours! It was just on our paperwork that we received with the title when we purchased it from the previous owner. 🙁

Thank you! Knowing the weight helps a lot. We will be towing with a 2003 Jeep Liberty which is rated at 5000 towing weight. The hardest thing so far though, is finding the VIN number! I can’t find it on the tongue which is where I thought it was supposed to be. Where did you find your’s? Thanks.

Hi Ken….I am looking at a Pathfinder right now. Owner is asking $500. Looks very similar to this one pictured. The title they have says its a 2007 Utility trailer….REALLY? I am having difficulty finding VIN as well. Did you ever find yours?
